Marcia Taylor was born on April 12, 1985 to Sampson and Nicole Taylor. She grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and has two siblings brother and sister. Her father was a career Army man which drove a wedge between the two when she decided to join the United States Airforce; causing them not to speak for many years. She attended the University of Colorado before joining up.
