- "We required something more capable of engaging powerful foes than the traditional Ha'tak. This vessel represents the combined advancement of our people."
- —Kitel
The Ha'tak'ko is an advanced starship employed by the Free Jaffa Nation to counter vessels more powerful than the standard ha'tak. Construction on the prototype version, the Hak'tyl, began just prior to the conflict with Zanous Garrin, and it was completed just after the Battle of P9X-335. Throughout the course of the Der'kal Invasion, additional ha'tak'ko were commissioned and rushed into service to defend the Nation and the Alliance of Great Races. They represented one of the few vessels capable of engaging mammoth craft such as Der'kal superships, and as such were incredibly valuable as the war continued. In the aftermath, they continue to act as command and control ships for Free Jaffa forces, and the arrival of a ha'tak'ko on the battlefield can drastically change the course of any engagement.
