"They're faster and more maneuverable than the Daedalus-class ships, and at the end of the day, they're simply cheaper to produce."
—Shen Xiaoyi

The BC-303, also known as the Prometheus-class or simply 303, is a class of battlecruiser built by Earth, and their main choice of ship for transportation and patrol duty. Originally conceived as a frontline warship, the X-303 Prometheus was the first vessel of the line, marking humanity's jump into interstellar travel. Although the BC-303 lacks the raw firepower or defensive capabilities of its successor, the DSC-304, its low cost and versatility made it a logical choice for continued use. After the conquest of Earth by the Der'kal, most of the surviving human ships were of the 303 class, revitalizing their prestige and showcasing just how useful they were when all other options had been eliminated. Once the planet was liberated, production of the line resumed, and BC-303s remain a common sight across the galaxy.
